While your at it might you consider as well syslog-ng. It would be nice to
have a log file for each daemon, and not everything mixed up in
/var/log/messages \8)
This change is best done via a distro, so that each package can add it's own
filter to the syslog-ng program, and have its own logfile. Put it all
together so that we have the daemons, logrotate, syslog-ng that are all
consistent.
