All I had to do is a

ln -s /usr/lib/rep/i586-mandrake-linux/gtk.so /usr/lib/gtk.so

and that did the trick.

I guess Vincent Danen just fixed it in sawfish-0.30.3-1... I will try right now.

I had the same problem until I recompiled the source packages. The
%{_libexec} macro has been redefined in one of the last rpm packages so
sawfish tried to load the gtk.so in /usr/lib/... when it really was in
/usr/libexec.
