Can't. It is installed to 2.2.17 and if I just copy it over I get:
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.2.15-4mdk/misc/isapnp.o
Now, why do we need alsa anyway? How about you do:
insmod isapnp || true so I don't get the faield message? I have SB Live! I
don't need ISA/ALSA anyway

OK, then I will never find out why it is not working :(
Maybe you want to fix this instead? I upgraded to the new initscripts.
Now xfs can never start.
[root@walluck 2.2.15-4mdk]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs start
Starting X Font Server:
[root@walluck 2.2.15-4mdk]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs stop
Shutting down X Font Server: [FAILED]
[root@walluck 2.2.15-4mdk]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs restart
Restarting X Font Server.
And I get Could not init font path element unix/:-1, removing from list!
This is *very very* bad. In init 5 the X server will loop infinately. This
has to be bad for the monitor, and there is no way to get to a console to
kill it either! :((
