Hi, this autodetecting stuff is totaly broken in the new initscripts package. 'mount_proc_usb;' in line 137 has to be done BEFORE the 'cat' commands! Before the usbdevfs is not mounted you cant do the cats. So move the above line after line 119 before the if. Than, the script does not detect my keyboard and mouse: Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer and Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro. I added my /proc/bus/usb/devices file to this mail ... Cheers, Andreas
