I have one problem with rpm - we use in CAMK /home which is not local,
but automagicaly mounted ater login (yp+autofs). So - we cannot use
any apache, wu-ftp, roxen, proftpd packages because I can't make
directories and chown them to anybody on nfs-mounted fs.

rpm have options --ignoresize (for not confusing rpm about size of
nfs-disk) and --excludepath (for forgeting some directories). But,
when I try to use them like:

sudo rpm -vv -ihv --nodeps --ignoresize --excludepath /home/
roxen-1.3.122-7mdk.i586.rpm

I got information:

[...]
D: excluding directory /home/roxen/html/welcome/
[...]
roxen GZDIO: 5 reads, 40960 total bytes in 0.019 secs
rozpakowanie archiwum nie powiodooo sie na pliku
/home/roxen/html/welcome/frontend1.gif: cpio: chown

(sorry about polish).

When I try to install them on old Redhat 6.0, this same line work perfectly for me.

My questions is:
1. Why when I try to install them on Redhat it works:

[...]
D: installing binary packages
D: excluding /home/roxen/html/welcome/redhat.gif
D: excluding /home/roxen/html/welcome/mandrake.gif
D: excluding /home/roxen/html/welcome/frontend2.gif
D: excluding /home/roxen/html/welcome/frontend1.gif

2. Why rpm trying to chown any of files located on filesystem which must forget?

3. How I can do it? (yes, without rebuild whole packages/'s).

I use:

rpm-3.0.5-7mdk
autofs-3.1.4-3mdk

and I try to install:

roxen-1.3.122-7mdk
