I've got Mandrake 7.0-2 486 installed on (naturally) a 486. This 486 has a 2Gig hard drive installed but NO LBA BIOS. I can't figure out how to get LILO to continue to boot from the hard drive. The prompt gets as far as "LI" then just chokes. I've tried forcing -l or LINEAR mode during the install and that did not fix the problem. I've also forced the correct settings in the BIOS (a Seagate Medalist 2132 ST32132A - Cyl 1023, Hds 64, Sect 63) in the BIOS as well. Does anyone else have any ideas? Is there an alternative I can install? I've made the custom boot disk, so I still have access to the system.
