  My remark wasn't meant to flame you. Consider it as a bug-report.
You also could have made scripts that send a mail to the maintainer of
packages which needs a BuildRequires.

  By the way, gtk+-devel should be enough, since it requires XFree86-devel.
The glibc-devel package isn't often present in BuildRequires, even if I don't
know many packges which can be built without it.

 I'm sorry if I hurt you, but from what I've seen, you script isn't perfect
yet.
