1) alsaplayer expects its output plugins in /usr/lib/alsaplayer/output
and input plugins in /usr/lib/alsaplayer/input. They are in
/usr/lib/alsaplayer. Problem solved by either moving the plugins to
the corrcet directories or symlinks (input -> . and output -> .)
/dev> rpm -q dev
dev-3.0.2-5mdk
2) This came to my attention after I got alsaplayer working because it
couldn't load its ALSA module: /dev/snd is a broken link. It points
to ../proc/asounddev -- should be ../proc/asound/dev
