there hasn't been a rift with anyone that i'm aware of ..

i did a quick serach on cooker, the cooker main distribution on kenobi
did have it there.

ah so the problem you have is that it is not updated ..!!
that's probably just because the maintainer is too lazy / not aware of / can't
compile a new version but too lazy to report it.
