I am not sure if this is a 7.1/Cooker/user-incompetence
issue or possibly/probably combination of the three!
After my install of 7.1/updates and many-Cooker addons
I continue to find permissions continuously getting
rearranged at odd moments. Users are not able to start
certain programs or Window Managers. Access to mail and/or
previously set filters are denied (esp in netscape-mail).
I seem to get them straightened out then "out of the blue"
it gets cock-eyed again.
chown user /home/user* combos doesnt really seem to stick
Taking each individual directory and file sometimes helps for awhile.
Is removing LinuxConf(once malaigned for such actions) an option?
My difficulties continue even after lessening security levels
in both DrakConf and/or msec-'custom.sh'. Putting it in easy
or "welcome to crackers" mode does not really appeal to me,
though perhaps I will try that OFF-LINE.
A gentle nudge in the right direction would be apprecitated.
