I am trying to use my SGI workstation (don't ask why) as an X-Terminal
for my Linux box. I just do a:

X -query linuxbox

or

X -indirect

Everything works fine when I use xdm or kdm, but when I use gdm it
doesn't respond. I adjusted the XDMCP section of the /etc/X11/gdm.conf
to look like this:

...

[xdmcp]
Enable=1
HonorIndirect=1
MaxPending=4
MaxPendingIndirect=4
MaxSessions=16
MaxWait=30
MaxWaitIndirect=30
Port=177

...

But it just doesn't respond.

Any ideas? BTW, The last time I tried this, like 8 months ago, I
couldn't make it work either and had to use xdm.

The second problem is that the file
"/usr/share/doc/gdm-2.0beta4/gdm-manual.txt" is a bzip compressed (I
just guessed, and was correct) file, but does not have the bzip
extension.
