Yes, it works fine, at least Mesa. OTOH I did not even check if my
Diamond 550 Card (TNT) is supported by GL/XFree in the 3D area. I still
have 6mdk of XFree so probably I need to upgrade here first. At least
the 3D-screensavers from xscreensavers did not seem that fast to me.
OTOH I don't see a reason now why vrwave should not be included in
cooker contrib (except that someone needs to have java JDK and the
netscape SDK to fully compile it..).
