A few questions. Recently I discovered some troubles on printing
cyrillic (russian) characters through several programs that use
ghostscript. I found that there is only one reference to a cyrillic
font. Unfortunately this font is not enough to make a correct printing
of russian texts. Specially from such stuff like StarOffice. Is anyone
dealing with this problem? There is a site that talks about how to patch
ghostscript for cyrillic stuff. The patch works correctly for most of
the basic "business documents"***. However it may not be enough for a
whole set of wallpaper reports and perfumed letters. The site's location
is: ftp://ftp.kapella.gpi.ru/pub/cyrillic/psfonts/ . The texts there are
in russian just in case.
It is unknown the licensing terms of these patches & fonts, there are no
references to any kind of copyright.
Anyway it seems the author asks to contact him for redistribution.
Does anyone coordinate this problem here? Is there any sense to try to
contact the author and see the possibilities to insert his patches?

***for the lovers of "Linux-as-a-hobby", yes there are already
businessmen working on Linux... VERY serious ones. I was abashed when I
found it.
