I failed to compile/install GConf-0.8. There is a strange error I don't
quite understand:

It makes no difference If I try the old or new libxml(2).
I have installed the newest oaf (0.5.1-2mdk).
Hmm, if I interpret the error message correctly, the Makefile
searches for ./desktop.schemas, but this file is not empty:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2246 Jan 21 2000 desktop.schemas
I tried some different source directory with no success.
Any ideas would be appreciated. From the code I got no idea
why he had problem with the xml-file (if he found it).
