I've found that the following .spec files currently contain hardcoded
"-march=pentium" flags.
gnuplot-3.7.1-12mdk.src.rpm
gtkmm-1.2.2-2mdk.src.rpm
kups-0.8-1mdk.src.rpm
qtcups-1.0-2mdk.src.rpm
rpmtools-1.2-2mdk.src.rpm
xmms-smpeg-0.2.5-1mdk.src.rpm
xpp-0.6-9mdk.src.rpm
I'm having difficulty (!!) building these packages on my alpha. I'm
wondering if there is a posibility that these hard coded things are
removed from the .spec file. I'm thinking along the line of appending
the options to the standard RPM_OPT_FLAGS, instead of writing out the
whole RPM_OPT_FLAGS. This way other architectures may be able to build
too...
In the mdk-rpm howto I couldn't find anything about this subject. Maybe
we should investigate how to properly handle these things & update the
howto.
Please consider it...
