Dear Mandrake/KDE team, thank you all for your wonderful work!
Yes, it will be great :-) - to have Mandrake RPMs on KDE site !
And easy for many users, as I have seen many requests for KDE2/Mandrake on
KDE-User and some other KDE lists.
One proposal to think about:
Is it possible to split KDE packages in smaller ones (like KDEbase to:
Konqueror, KDM, KWM; KOffice: Kword, KSpread, etc.). SuSE RPMs on Kde.org
are splitted in similar way. It will be:
1) much easier to download smaller packages
2) upgrade only changes parts
Konqueror is under rapid development, and its code changes every day. From
other side, I guess KWM source is not updated every day.
Please consider putting them both on ftp.kde.org and FTP.US.KDE.ORG
I am located in Russia, but for some (routing) reasons downloads from US
servers are MUCH faster.
Best Regards,
Vadim Plessky
