No the latest xmms-smpeg works with my machine, with SDL-1.1.3
It seems that it's the install of SDL-1.1.4 that fucks everything up.
(Our compile machine has XFree-4.0.1 of course)
Giuseppe, it seems that SDL-1.1.4 breaks everything. It also broke gltron
according to flepied. Can you have a look?

I upgraded to SDL-1.1.4 myself because the README for xmms-smpeg told it
fixed a bug. Giuseppe can you investigate and fix the stuff, either by
going back to 1.1.3 or finding and fixing the issue?
