I hope he is kidding...
Anyway, Linux is Free Society.
You are not happy - you can go back (to Windows or whatever).
By the way, Danny:
I, personally, do not think that Windows (Microsoft Windows) is bad. It is
good program. Especially Windows 2000.
Yes, Win 95/98 crashes - but you always can go to Win NT or better Win 2000.
Yes, Win 2000 is heavy program, loading takes a lot of time - but who told
that it should load fast?
I continue to use Win 98 together with Mandrake Linux on same machine (I have
Compaq notebook). And pretty happy with KDE2 Beta - for the first time in my
life I see environment which CAN (and I believe, WILL) compete with Microsoft.
CHOICE - that's what we always were waiting for.
What I dislike most in Microsoft?
No, not 3 years from one major update to another. :-) It's understandable -
MS is big company and should cash-on on every new product first.
No, not $89 for Windows , payable usally every 2 years after minor bug fix.
I dislike MS for abandoning PowerPC and MIPS versions of WinNT from
development tree. They promised choice (over Intel x86) - and they lied.
I still wondering why they support Alpha. Probably, Compaq is continuing
paying them for all NT-on-Alpha programmers. I honesly wish that one day
Compaq will stop this and pay this money to Linux developers. That's will be
real victory on MS.
Mandrake is great company, doing excellent job, and let all of us thank
Mandrake team for this.
THANK YOU!!!
