On old P120 64MB ram 2GBhd ... an info :
with yesterday cooker installed (running with 2.2.17-0.23 kernel -45% with
500MB free on hd) when I tried upgrade ...: signal 9 during analyze of
installed packages and I must reboot (not first time, but before I think
there was other installer problems)
No problem in install from scratch....;o)
Tried remote printer test during install: works...;o)
May be you can activate option for printcap (if this is the best solution to
make installed printer visible ... may be to kmail or other progs...;o)
I play with install of individual packages : works...;o)
On kde control center no screensaver visible (but visible and usable in gnome
control center)
This email is written from old pc...;o)
On SMP I tried upgrade (~everything), it works but :
I've MS Intellimouse 1.1A PS2, if I try choose Intellimouse PS2, mouse cursor
disappear... I reboot and ok with general PS2.
I tried installCrypto on ...se and on ...de:
*warning: Net::FTP: Bad hostname '' ...propagated at
/usr/bin/perl-install/ftp.pm line 41 <> line 0.
After second try it skips on configureTimezone, I select Rome, and it returns
on installCrypto selection list, now I choose cancel....
I haven't option with XFree4 during install to choose Matrox Millenium 8MB
(it autoselect 4MB)
Don't configure on board sound chip CS4236B (DK440LX has also on board
AIC-7895U and Intel 82557 10/100 that it correctly configure) and doesn't
work (on w2k works)
Also not configurable screensaver on kde control center
On both I select GRUB and started with lilo.
