This is really wierd.  I'm positive I installed the old libunicode on my
sytem but when I double-checked it wasn't installed??  So I installed it and
now evolution comes up just fine.  Very very wierd...

It also seems like oafd was running as root, so maybe that had something to
do with it also?  I did the "killall oafd" as root and re-ran evolution as a
user and now it works.

Hopefully this will help others get started with it as well.
