I've made some tests vy copy-pasting in a terminal your commands, and it's
the same here.

The problem is that some of your " " space characters are not valid
separators [that's why it adds an additional apparent " " character in the
error message, before the name of the binary].

You probably are producing the space characters with some strange keys of
your keyboard ;-).
