I am getting an dhcp error when trying to install Ulysses via ftp.

System P166 48 MB of RAM and a 3com 3c509 card.
It asks for what driver to use for the network, I tell it the 3c509 it then
autoprobes and it asks whether
or not to use ftp/http/nfs, I pick ftp, then it asks whether or not I use
static/bootp/dhcp I pick DHCP and
then trys to get an address. I can verify this by watching the Netgear
switch I have making packet transactions
from that port. Then it comes back and said there is no dhcp reply. I know
for a fact that this card works...so what is wrong with the disk?
