The following are some of my experiances thus far with 7.2b on this machine.
Installation:
1) In network set-up the tulip mod needed for the Linksys 4.0
(Bridgecom.Inc) is not included.
2) Printer set-up the printer selection window is empty so printer can not
be configured during installation.
Booting 7.2b:
1) I receive multiple USB controller Time out messages ( the system still
boots)
Running 7.2b:
1) DrakConfig does not include kpackage
2) Change X Resolution in DrakConfig does not work
3) If I open kmix as usr all I get is an empty window. I can not adjust
sounds or volume. ( It works fine as root )
4) As root if I try to install any RPM with kpackage I get the error window
"The application kpackage crashed and caused signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Shutdown 7.2b:
1) When I logout if I choose Shutdown I get a 1/2 black and 1/2 blue
pinstripe screen and it just sits there with no message display.
I hit alt/ctrl/delete and the system reboots and Linux reloads as though
cleanly unmounted.
Restarting 7.2b
1) If I logout and choose restart the following processes show as failed
a] Roxen
b] NFS Locked
c] ZServer
d] anacron
I am sure as I have a chance to use it more that there will be additional
comments/problems to report. In addition I also have 7.2b installed on a 2nd
machine on which I will be reporting.
I must say though that 7.2b is looking very nice.
Charles :-)
P.S. If I should be posting this feedback to someplace other than cooker
please advise.
