Is anyone else having severe problems trying to get the 7.2
beta CDs to just plain boot? Admittedly I'm trying to install this on a
Gateway laptop but half the time the new CD drivers seem to be powering down the
drive in the middle of a read cycle and ... well ... it does make for an
interesting time trying to install the software!
I've also tried making a CDROM boot floppy .... that was a
miserable experience which doesn't get very far past asking if I want the Text
or the Graphical installer.
Mind you ... the 7.1 CDROM works like a charm. Not a
problem anywhere.
I'm off to try installing via FTP ... wish me
luck.
