The other day I installed the latest cups packages to test the new ppd's: cups-devel-1.1.2-12mdk cups-drivers-0.3.6-7mdk cups-1.1.2-12mdk But when I tried to print the sample page, my printer (Epson 1270) crashed and printed the message depicted in the attached image "printer_error_1.gif". So I went to linuxprinting.org and downloaded the ppd file to see if it changed. I saved it as /etc/cups/ppd/Main.ppd (my spool is named Main); when I tried it, my printer crashed again but with a different error (I recycled power to the printer and restarted cups before each test) depicted in the attached file "printer_error_2.gif". -- Eugenio Diaz, BSEE/BSCE Linux Engineer [EMAIL PROTECTED]
