The other day I installed the latest cups packages to test the new
ppd's:

cups-devel-1.1.2-12mdk
cups-drivers-0.3.6-7mdk
cups-1.1.2-12mdk

But when I tried to print the sample page, my printer (Epson 1270)
crashed and printed the message depicted in the attached image
"printer_error_1.gif".

So I went to linuxprinting.org and downloaded the ppd file to see if it
changed. I saved it as /etc/cups/ppd/Main.ppd (my spool is named Main);
when I tried it, my printer crashed again but with a different error (I
recycled power to the printer and restarted cups before each test)
depicted in the attached file "printer_error_2.gif".
