Ola,

I finished to generate a PPD file for your Lexmark 5700. Surf to
www.linuxprinting.org, go to your printer's page and download the
CUPS-O-MATIC PPD file. Save it under an arbitrary name in
/usr/share/cups/model or in one of its subdirectories. Restart the CUPS
daemon with

   /etc/rc.d/init.d/cups restart

and install your printer with KUPS or the usual web interface procedure.
Choose "Lexmark" and then "5000".

Please note that the driver needs 100 MB of swap space. So the computer
seems crashed but comes back after half a minute.

Buena sorte,

   Till
