My apologies if these messages are duplicates. I think I've been having a bit
of trouble with KMail and that my messages have not actually been getting out.

Hi,

I'm trying to install 7.2Beta1 on my TravelMate 5200 via PCMCIA network card.
I boot pcmcia.img and get past the screen that says it's loading the second
stage ram disk (that may not be exactly what it says, but its not on the
screen any more and it takes 30-40 minutes to get to it because the kernel
finds 256 primary peer busses when booting and that takes a while. Anyone
know of a way to force direct rather than bios access to PCI from the boot
prompt?) Anyway, the next screen pops up a window that says "Starting,
please wait" and freezes. I can't switch screens or anything. Any
suggestions on how I might get more info as to what is actually happening at
the time of the lockup? What all is it trying to do at this point?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I am really glad to see that the range of io addresses probed in
/etc/pcmcia/config.opts has been limited. Linux installations always used to
lock up when starting pcmcia services unless I performed surgery on the
pcmcia.rdz image beforehand.

-Thanks,
-Steve
