I just upgraded my firewall to Mandrake 7.1, and after installing the
relevant security upgrades: kernel-secure-2.2.16-9mdk and
initscripts-4.97-35mdk, I'm observing an intermittant problem starting
up eth1 (this interface is connected to my local network, in case it
matters). In particular, sometimes when I start up the machine I get
the following error messages:
eth1: card reports no RX buffers.
eth1: card reports no resources.
These continue upon receipt of packets on the internal network until I
reset the network interface. In case it's relevant, here are the
boot-up messages from the eth0 and eth1 cards:

This problem did not appear with Mandrake 7.0, but it does appear
intermittantly on a 2.2.17 kernel compiled from scratch. Does anyone
have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
