? I didn't get your point. Are you remarking 3Dfx's Glide rpms? There
they usually install their stuff into /usr/local/glide/include. You
usually use /usr/include/glide, which is much more correct for your
architecture. At least, the latest Glide mdk packages have them in that
place. However the new 17th build is requiring them on /usr/include
itself. Somewhere, a reference -I/usr/include/glide is missing somehow.
And this problem existed on the 16th build btw.

I'm absolutely sure of this because I have been building several Mesa
libs of different kinds and tastes. and I don't have any problem with
them. Truly I had to correct some symlinks on the libs but that's
another problem. On compilation, Mesa is searching for glide the way mdk
packages install them.

Btw. I managed to run quake2 on Voodoo Graphics with cooker without X.
Truly I had to make some moves on includes/libs to achieve this (after
the above story happened!). Present Mesa mdk libs will not allow this
stuff to run. It is stable and relatively fast. To achieve this, there
is the need to get Glide_VG-2.46-5.src.rpm. Note that. on 3Dfx's web
pages. this package is only referenced on binaries page. The source page
shows only 4th build (which does not work on cooker). However the 5th
build is there. With the help of wget or similar it is possible to
download it.

Besides, on 17th build, after "correcting" glide's location, everything
builds without further problems. Voodoo3 works perfectly under it.
"gears" demo shows 60fps on full screen. Quake3 shareware works
absolutely stable and fast enough to engage into the massive fights of
our "death squadron" here (btw, some use TNT2 under Mandrake 7.1). The
gimp 3D surface plugin works much faster with Mars processed images than
before.* These images are a very good test because they present a very
complex level of details in 3D diagrams. Later, I will make some further
tests, specially with such stuff like Maverik
(http://aig.cs.man.ac.uk/systems/Maverik/). Anyway, it seems that
Mandrake team is finally achieving to bring stability and preformance to
Voodoo's 3D system... My congratulations.
