Will it help with modem (ppp) as well?
When I re-installed my Mandrake with Expert setup, it made security as Middle
by default. I agreed. I see no reason why not agree on Middle level security.
:-)
But, at a moment, I have to dial-up login as Root, as otherwise Kppp doesn't
see modem (installed on COM1)

Second question, may be, not completely related to Mandrake.
On top of my USR 56K faxmodem, I have internal (notebook, Compaq Presario
1800) modem - Lucent V90. It is not recognized by Linux. Working from Win98
without problems. Is there any chance to get it working? Or, at least,
recognized?
