And I did it for all window managers, so they are all listed in
kdm & gdm : Blackbox, Sawfish, Enlightment. You've probably
noticed that in /etc/X11/vmsession.d folder is only one text file:
01KDE. And you have only KDE (&failsafe & default) listed in
gdm & kdm. I don't know if this is problem only with Mandrake
7.1, but give a try.
