I am finding that I get an error on the partition check :
HDA: HDA1 HDA2 <HDA dma_intr: status=0x51{drive ready seek complete error}
HDA: DMA_intr :error=0x84 {drive status error bad crc}
   This would make you think that I had a hardware trouble in my hard drive or mother
board . So I got my WD diagnostic out and checked the drive and found no trouble. I
turned off the UDMA on my BIOS setting and this fixed the trouble. I think you must
have
a bug somewhere in the way you handle ultra ATA/66. The install file completed with
out
any trouble. But I got an error in the etc/lilo.conf file which prevents me from
booting from the hard drive, floppy works ok. I did a rescue install and I think that I
will do a new install to see if I get better results
