You are probably running XFree86 4.0.1 now, not XFree86 3.3.6, which has a
different config file format (and lives at /etc/X11/XF86Config-4). You can try
removing all XFree86 RPMs with *4.0.1* in their name and installing the 3.3.6
RPMS in their place. I don't have a C&T card to test.
