[Cooker] how to upgrade /etc/group...

When I do an upgrade of package setup, with command rpm -Fvh, it will
sometimes attempt to upgrade /etc/group, but leave the upgraded file in
/etc/group.rpmnew instead.

What is the right way to merge the new changes into my existing /etc/group
file, and then update the shadow files?
