Now I know how to use alsa if I want to... but since I already have working sound it's just not worth the troubles and the risk of messing stuff up ;) But wouldnt it be nice to have an expert mode in harddrake (or the soundconfig tool) that let us choose to use alsa for sound? The reasons for something like this would me quite religious, that alsa is more atractive to the real OpenSource fanatics. But since it's going in to the kernel it's never a bad idea to be able to handle it in a nice and user friendly way. Another thing, I'd like to be able to set that I'm a expert/novice or what ever, so when I start a tool supporting this I get the right view. //Snaggen -- ____________________________________________________________________________ Mattias Eriksson E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tvistevgen 26 [EMAIL PROTECTED] 907 36 UMEA Tel: 090-198800 SWEDEN 070-5636769 'I don't fight for a cause Hemsida: http://www.acc.umu.se/~snaggen I fight for the fight' PGP: http://www.acc.umu.se/~snaggen/snaggen.asc ____________________________________________________________________________
