When I installed Beta 3 on my system with 2 NICs (both 3Com 3C59x), and choose Cablemodem, Linux does NOT seem to detect the Ethernet cards.  Is this a known issue?

It’s possible that it is checking only eth0 for a DHCP, whereas on my system (just happen stance), I think my internet connection might be on eth1 with eth0 as the local lan.  I haven’t finish setting it all up, yet (had to reboot to Win9x for a short while as my wife needs to read her email…sigh).

I’ll check further later.  But I did try a complete install twice (choosing different install choices, first time server only, second time everything),  I my Linux expert buddy had no clue why.

Since I see notes about an RC1, I thought I’d pipe up sooner rather than later…

P.S.  Is there some message archive or database for me to check for previously mentioned issues?  While somewhat new to Linux itself, I have an extensive Unix background (QNX2/4 embedded systems), with lots of networking experience, so some of the Linux culture is a wee bit “foreign”, as opposed to Unix like environments.
