For plustek (and some primax, too) you need special kernel module See: http://home.t-online.de/home/g-jaeger/plustek.html and http://www.buzzard.org.uk/jonathan/scanners.html and, of course: http://panda.mostang.com/sane/sane-backends.html (and of course, sane-1.03 - this wersion support plustek,if kernel module is compiled and loaded) Is this module in kernel package? If not, Linux-Mandrake has not real plustek scanner support without additional user's work (download, compile, install and load plustek module) Pawel Jablonski
