Im about ready to scream on this one so maybe we can figure this one out. I have a virgin 2.4.0test9 kernel that i compiled myself and everything but PPP dialup works. 1 i did in fact compile PPP support in (right now its both in kernel and module) 2 i copied the lines directly from the changes file to modules.conf 3 i have the newest PPPD after i created a /dev/ppp i now get a device not configured message (can't connect to channel ?). I also have a RedHat install that gives the same error after copying the files over. Anyhints as to what i need to fix and where???
