'Cuz I have kind of the same problem, but it's not because of the numlock setting. It's because of Enlightenment. Numlock is on in runlevel 3 and then turns off in runlevel 5. > PS) At system shut-down I get a nice red: "shutting down numlock: failed" ... > It's right anyway :)) I don't have that problem, so I'm not sure if your problem is bigger than mine.
