Maybe also a rpm with .spec file for codecs with 'NoSrc:', so to not include binaries, but to let users to build the RPM of the codecs themselves. Anyway IMHO it's just a matter of time. Now that it has been demostrated that wavelet compression (such as those in MP4, but wavelet allows more, MUCH more) could compress a DVD in a CD, there will be plenty of 'also free source' (http://www.proyectmayo.com, http://www.3ivx.com/) [I don't think MPEG group could patent 'wavelets'] codecs. The problem will be, which standard will impose. Will be this the end of the DVD? Also [http://www.constellation3d.com, http://www.sel.sony.com/SEL/rmeg/digitalfuture/] Bye. Giuseppe.
