Hello
First of all I would like to say that the installation seems
to be very good. I had to install twiced but it was easy. Ulysses
3 had to no problem to find my two scsi cards.
Now the problems ( I hope I am not repiting problems posted earlier):
a) kpackage is broken - it doesn't do a thing. I am using the old
version installed on the mandrake 7.0 partition.
b) I can't compile anything related to kde.
checking for KDE headers installed... configure: error: your system is
not able to compile a small KDE application!
Check, if you installed the KDE header files correctly.
c) Some linsndexo.so (something like that) is always missing.
d) netscape messanger can't use the address book. It crashes as soon as
I click on it.
e) During boot time, auroras complains about the hardware check. It
sends lots of "K" on the screen. That is, it it not working on the
graphical interface.
f) kscd and others do not work when click on the K menu. If I issue
a command on konsole, it works but it sends out loads of message.
g) Some funny screen behaviour. Parts of the screen go blank without a
reason.
Curiosity:
I installed kernel.2.2.17. Is there an option for installing 2.4.0?
Have anyone used the udf features of the new kernel?
