I tried the new lyx, lyx-1.1.5-5mdk.i586.rpm and it worked fine!!!!!
BUT, now I also had changed my screen resolution to 16mln colors. When I
changed it back to 256 colors lyx again failed to start (also with "lyx
-shared" option).
I never have had these problems before with any program or Mandrake, Redhat,
FreeBSD, .... So I assume this is a problem of lyx/lyx-package or of the
Mandrake 7.2beta. (I only updated a few packages from the current cooker,
such as kdelibs and Xfree86). Note I only worked with KDE-1.99 to try the
resolutions....maybe other wm/de work fine...?
