I'm running into a problem with getting sound out of my awe-64.
I choose the IRQ setting, etc in harddrake and it seems to accept
them without complaint but when it tries to play the sound samples
nothing comes out. HardDrake says "No volume mixer available. So
I'll not be able to adjust volume." I can play sounds any of the usual
ways (esdplay, xmms, etc) and don't get any errors but don't hear anything
either. I've tried pretty much every combination of IRQ and DMA settings
but to no avail. Any suggestions?
