Well, KDE 2.0 is released and there are Mandrake 7.2 RPMs on some of
the kde mirrors.
But no sign of it yet on the Mandrake 7.2beta tree or in a Mandrake
rc2 iso.
Comments on this Mandrake 7.2 KDE 2.0:
1. Regrettably, kdf (KDiskFree) has been dropped from 2.0 - this is
the only GUI/click way of controlling mounting and unmounting as well
as giving a graphical view of disk partition space usage. Don't
undersatand this! The only alternative is use of the command line,
which is quite unacceptable for newbies.
2. kword now includes an import filter for MSWord 97 (*.doc) files,
but no export filer for MSWord yet <sigh>. I tried importing an
MSWord 2.0 doc file - it cause kword to vanish (that's just
inexcusable).
