After freshening my netscape-* packages to 4.76-1mdk.i586.rpm I got the
following error:
$ netscape
netscape-communicator: program is version 4.76, but resources are version 4.75.
This means that there is an inappropriate `Netscape' file installed
in the app-defaults directory. Check these environment variables
and the directories to which they point:
$XAPPLRESDIR
$XFILESEARCHPATH
$XUSERFILESEARCHPATH
Also check for this file in your home directory, or in the
directory called `app-defaults' somewhere under /usr/lib/.$
It would seem that sombody forgot to update the app-defaults resources
file for 4.76:
$ head -10 /etc/X11/app-defaults/Netscape
! Insert copyright and license here 1994
! Netscape.ad --- app-defaults file for Netscape 4.75.
