1. log on as the user you are, not as root!
2. in KDF, go to the directory where you want your scripts kept and
open a terminal.
3. enter "touch 7.2beta_to_7.2", and Enter. This creates the file.
4. back to the KDF window and right click on it and edit it, say with
kedit.
5. bring up my message in Netscape or whatever email client you use.
6. select the multiline script text in it, starting #!/bin/bash,
ending on the blank line.
7. go back to the 7.2beta_to_7.2 edit window.
8. press your mouse wheeel or center button, or both left and right
buttons together.
The selected text will appear in the new file. [this kind of magic
is not in Windows]
9. Change the last two lines to point to your 7.2beta repository and
your 7.2 repository respectively.
10. Save the new script - ^S ^Q
11. right click the file, select properties, permissions, set the
file executable (owner, group, world). OK.
12. At your scripts terminal, enter (the ./ prefix is a security
requirement):
./7.2beta_to_7.2 (Enter)
