OK, I want to give everyone who asked an update on kdevelop and it's status
for 7.2 and kde2. As you read this please note I am speaking as a packager
and not a member of the kde development team.
kdevelop is released for the kde1 platform, not kde2. As I've been building
packages for kde2 over the last 8 months I try to make kdevelop compile and
run at every chance I get. You should see the changelogs for the rpm's never
released. Unfortunatly it either does not build correctly, or it does not
run.
There is no time estimate or conversation that I've found on when it will be
done. Believe me, I'm waiting as everyone else is. I tried again yesterday
got an rpm built (meaning it compiled and installed) and then when I tested,
it crashed. Sorry, but I can not release.
I will continue to try and I will try and give this group a status from time
to time.
The good news is that I got kpilot to compile and run last night. A new
kdepim will be out shortly and there are some excellent updates to quanta. I
am real happy with how that package is turning out.
