| Problem is not that Ghoscript is not free (as speech) software when
| it's under Aladdin license..
|
| MandrakeSoft has a strong commitment with free (as speech) software
| and we try to avoid as much as possible including non-free software in
| our main distrib (we still have some non free softwares but they will
| disappear eventually). That's why I don't think we will include
| Aladdin version of Ghostscript in Linux-Mandrake..
Is Aladdin Ghostscript selling successfuly ?
I mean I haven't heard of it selling somewhere as commercial software.
(WalMart :-), Office Depot or just any e-commerce site )
If we take Europe, people developing Aladdin Ghostscript probably should be
interested much more in Mandrake then Mandrake in Aladdin... You can give
them this sentence as input from users' side.
May be you can include it on Commercial CD (is that your deluxe pack?), or
try to make special arrangement with Aladdin.
If you never complain, you never get the answer!
You have convinienced me to write a letter to these guys.
As I mentioned already Ghostscript was the program which impressed me a lot,
and made me open to UNIX world.
