My linux box does NOT have connectivity to the internet at this time.
But, I do have periodic access to a broadband internet connection and a
cdrom burner. From that I can download the current 7.2k2 image (ie
mandrake 7.2 with kde 2.0) and burn me a current os image.
If I purchase the power pack from a mcmillian distributor, I should be able
to use it upgrade my current 7.0 "Complete" image.
Then I assume I can upgrade to the latest and greatest OS patch level with
the downloaded ISO image.
I believe that this gives me the ability to get to the latest and greatest
distro, while still supporting the Linux Mandrake business model.
Are the any obvious pitfalls with this approach?
