Anyone know of any K apps for building KDE2.0 styles? I am thinking of
starting an open-source project, and I thought this might be a useful app.
The idea would be that you have several windows in which you can drag and
drop your icons and a main 'preview' window. The preview would be a
miniature screenshot of a desktop with the K menu open. I could also see the
screenshot being interactive somewhat, allowing you to open apps on your
desktop and then run the preview which would look at the programs you have
open, and would apply the style to your desktop, take a screenshot, and
revert back to your current style. This would prevent incorrectly-sized
widgets or incompatible colors from forcing you to change to a virtual term
and kill X then restart in order to make your screen legible again. That
last idea may be a bit too grandiose, possible more eye-candy than actually
useful. It'd just be nice to have an integrated app to do styles with.
If anyone out there knows of a project that is working on this, let me know.
Also, if anyone thinks this would be a useful app, let me know.
